Fli-Pod Multi-Purpose Acoustic Environment

The Fli-pod is a multi-purpose, acoustic ground operations environment that enables airport ground staff to turnaround an aircraft more efficiently and quickly than before. Situated at head of stand the Fli-pod brings all ground handling operations under one roof. High sound reduction allows deployment of the Fli-pod to be close to the aircraft.

Initially developed for British Airways, the Fli-pod combines innovation and engineering in a single package. The Fli-pod’s unique design provides teams on the ground with all the features and convenience required to perform their job efficiently. Delivered ready for use, each Fli-pod contains wiring for computer networking and telecommunications. Each unit can accommodate a mains service, laptops and fixed computers.

The Fli-pod provides baggage handlers, maintenance staff and ground crew with a safe, quiet, fully equipped work environment with access to all the systems they require. A lockable tool storage facility on the exterior of each unit provides maintenance teams with the ability to store essential equipment.

Optional steel access steps and platform comply with international building regulations and standards. Built onto an integral structural base frame each Fli-Pod is factory built and then road-transported and positioned by forklift truck or crane. The Fli-Pod has height adjusting legs that easily overcomes uneven terrain.
