What Are They?
IAC Packless Silencers are reactive attenuators with no acoustic infill or lining materials.

Applications
- Traditional plastic film lined silencers can be replaced by packless attenuators under supply and extract conditions.
- For example, under extract conditions, plastic films can be subject to chenical attack causing infill contamination and hence risk to the HVAC system.
- Under supply conditions, packless silencers alleviate any risk of fiber migration downstream to sensitive areas.
- Therefore, packless attenuators can be used where there is to be no risk of fiber migration or contamination.

The complete absence of fill combined with ease of cleaning and draining, makes all four models of Packless duct attenuators well-suited for chemical plants, refineries and facilities handling petrol, grease, solvents or other hazardous materials.
- Type XM/XL Packless Duct Attenuator These HVAC duct attenuators provide excellent low frequency Dynamic Insertion Loss characteristics making them suitable for virtually any HVAC application.
- Type KM/KL/KB Packless Duct Attenuators These combine excellent low frequency Dynamic Insertion Loss characteristics with a lower airflow pressure drop making them suitable for higher velocity HVAC applications.
- Type TXS/TXL Tubular Packless Duct Attenuators These are primarily for use in fume hood applications.
- Type TXLB Tubular Elbow Packless Duct Attenuator These duct attenuators are primarily for use in fume hood applications. The elbow configuration makes for a compact arrangement suitable for low headroom or other tight space installations.
