IAC to supply 42 acoustic doors to burgeoning Indian film industry
Reliance Media Works Limited in India has ordered 42 acoustic doors for its new Studio 7 in Mumbai. IAC has extensive experience in supplying TV, film and theatres worldwide with Acoustic Doors, Windows and other Acoustic Treatment products.
The 42 STC-51 single Acoustic Doors will be 2-hour fire rated, and manufactured here in UK, for delivery and installation in July.
Reliance is expanding operations in a bid to attract big budget US films away from traditional Hollywood studios. In addition, as India’s fastest growing film and entertainment services company, the domestic Indian film industry still remains a core part of Reliance’s business.
Kane Watkinson is Product Manager, Doors: “IAC is proud to be involved in such a large project and with such a significant client as the Reliance / Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, and there are a number of further projects we are working on with Reliance in coming months. Also, as well as studios for film making, Reliance operates BIG Cinemas, India's largest cinema chain with currently over 500 screens spread across India, US, Malaysia and Netherlands.”
