World leader in noise control IAC’s China operation now at full capacity

IAC China is now trading to full capacity offering top quality products to customers throughout the Far East and South East Asia.

IAC’s Sales and Engineering office in Shenzhen serves their manufacturing facility in Dongguan which is very close to the major ports of Shenzhen, Guang Zhou and Hong Kong. These are the company’s doorways for exporting goods to customers throughout the Far East.

IAC’s current factory is capable of the wide range of processes including light gauge and medium gauge fabrication/welding using MIG/JIG and MMA processes; coded welding capabilities; painting, blasting and welding; button punching; guillotining and bending and lock forming.

General Manager, Mr Fred Zhang – who speaks fluent English - says: “By June of this year we will have two manufacturing operations here: our current factory and a new factory dedicated to heavy fabrication. This will be 4,500m2 with cranes capable of lifting 20 tonnes and with an ‘under hook’ height of 12 metres. The new factory will also have a facility to load directly into containers for export. We shall be purchasing a CNC Plasma Cutter as soon as the new factory is established.”

A visit to the new bi-lingual IAC China webpages www.industrialacoustics.com/china shows that IAC products currently being manufactured in China include: Metadyne wedges for our anechoic chambers; Q-Ducts/Conics/Louvres and Splitters for HVAC and industrial applications; structural steelwork; Acoustic Doors; Acoustic Enclosures; Moduline panels for media studios and audiology rooms; glued panel systems, and Diesel Engine Silencers. The product range is likely to grow as dedicated production ‘cells’ are formed to transpose the production processes.

Brian Quarendon, Group President, said: “Being able to deliver the same high quality IAC products and systems through our China facilities is hugely important for our global reputation. The fact that raw materials in China tend to be to China National Standards, with similar physical and chemical characteristics to those in the West, means we can uphold our quality standards.”

With excellent shipping times to Europe (30 days), USA West Coast (15 days), USA East Coast (30 days), these new manufacturing facilities certainly make the world a smaller place for IAC.
