IAC Colpro provide varied services for mining applications. They can provide simple secondary silencers or engine compartment lining. They also offer wholistic solutions for individual machinery, with the use of acoustic modelling and noise intensity surveys, to achieve acoustic targets.
IAC Colpro has designed and supplied acoustic treatment to almost all types and sizes of above ground mining machinery. Bellow is a small summary of projects to show the range of applications.

These are examples of IAC Colpro's past involvements and capabilities:
Haul Trucks
Primary and secondary exhaust silencers to suit a fleet of 320 tonne haul trucks at Mt Arthur Coal Mine. IAC Colpro worked closely with OEM to “tune” the silencers to target particular frequencies. This allowed the trucks to meet their overall sound power as well as frequency spectrum requirements.
Full Acoustic Treatment to fleet of 190 tonne haul trucks at Muswellbrook Coal. Working with OEM proprietary designs, IAC Colpro created acoustic models to help design and predict acoustic treatment to lower the sound power of the haul trucks.
Treatment included:

GE grid box attenuation
Radiator attenuators
Rear axle fan attenuator
Side doors and belly pan
Side doors and belly pan feature excellent access for maintenance. No issues with overheating to date.
Excavators
30m3 excavator at Bengalla Mine. IAC Colpro was responsible for lowering the sound power to meet the contract specification. IAC Colpro designed, fabricated and installed:
Walkthrough rear counterweight enclosure
Hydraulic and engine intake and discharge attenuators
Engine room and hydraulic room wall lining
Floor, wall and roof panelling
Acoustic treatment is integrated to the profile of the machine. Slewing radius and maintenance access is unaffected.
Acoustic treatment of 16m^3 excavator at Mt Owen mine. Conducted sound intensity survey with an acoustic model of the machine. Designed, fabricated and installed:
