| 17 October 2005 IAC AVIATION WINS £1.8M CONTRACT FROM ROLLS-ROYCE
This facility tests development turbine modules in isolation from a jet engine to confirm their performance prior to proceeding in the jet engine development process. This major contract for the upgrade of the test rig includes the full gamut of services: design, manufacture, civil works, installation, commissioning and setting to work of the test facility. Gordon Edwards, General Manager said: “This project is a significant step forward and we look forward to building a long-standing relationship with Rolls-Royce in the years to come. Aviation Division has won a £1.8m contract from Rolls-Royce for
the refurbishment of Number 4 Turbine Test Rig at their Derby location.
This significant order was won in competition against four of Rolls-Royce's
long-standing subcontractors.
