IAC AVIATION
£1/4m REFURBISHMENT FOR RAF
 IAC
Aviation has recently completed an extensive 7-month refurbishment of
the T56 Engine Test Facility at RAF Lyneham for the UK’s Ministry
of Defence. IAC Aviation are the design authority for the UK MoD T56 ETF
and an approved provider to the MoD.
The test facility at RAF Lyneham was nearly 30 years old
and had been subject to very little repair or modification over the years
that it had been in continuous service. In the last couple of years some
of the facility’s equipment had become obsolescent and the engine
performance data was no longer reliable or consistent.
During the project IAC Aviation refurbished or replaced:
the Control Cabin; performance and other facility instrumentation; the
electrical distribution system, and perimeter fencing. We also installed
a new Bulk Fuel Storage and management system and new interconnecting
services.
