Demountable Testing Facilities
lAC Global Aviation leads the global market in both the design and build of demountable test cells for aero-engines as well as in the adaptation, refurbishment and upgrading of existing test cells to enable them to accommodate new and/or different engine types.
While multi-engine testing is a common requirement, every test cell is customised to suit client needs.
IAC Global Aviation supplies these semi-portable engine test facilities to civil and military aircraft operators. They are particularly suited to the latter, where circumstances occasionally necessitate the relocation of test facilities in their entirety to another military base.
The facilities' removable modular nature is of considerable benefit, not least because they require no civils in their construction, as would a new turnkey facility. A demountable test facility is usually commissioned in the UK and then, on a plug 'n' play basis, undergoes a fast re-commission on location. This reduces staff time and costs on site.
The ability to relocate the test facility is also useful to aero-engine manufacturers who may need to move it between manufacturing bases.
