IAC Global Aviation’s dedicated, in-service Aero-Engine Test Facility Support department provides the following three essential services:
- Calibration services providing an on-site or off-site service that measures the accuracy of your aero-engine test control equipment
- Dynamometer services including full service, strip down, overhaul and repair
- Maintenance Services comprising a full range of services that will keep your aero-engine test facility operating at its maximum potential
Calibration Services
IAC Global Aviation technicians will document the calibration results in a report along with any recommendations that they deem appropriate. Recommendations may include identification of obsolescence or required repairs and modifications to the facility.

Dynamometer Services
IAC Global Aviation’s Dynamometer Service includes, but is not limited to, the removal/replacement, full service, strip down and overhaul of all types of dynamometers. During servicing of your dynamometer, our experienced and qualified technicians will ensure that the turnaround time is kept to a minimum thus ensuring minimal disruption to the facility.
IAC Global Aviation technicians will document the results of their dynamometer service in a report along with any recommendations that they deem appropriate. Recommendations may include identification of obsolescence or required repairs and modifications.
Maintenance Services
IAC Global Aviation provides a full range of maintenance services that will keep your aero-engine test facility operating at its maximum potential. Scheduled routine maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks reduce the downtime of the facility, and are all carried out by fully trained and qualified technicians.
Maintenance services include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, instrumentation, Information Technology (IT) and software.
Scheduled Maintenance
Scheduled maintenance tasks ensure the safe operation and upkeep of your aero-engine test facility. Typical scheduled maintenance activities include:
- Periodic inspections and servicing
- Fire servicing and certification
- Air conditioning servicing
- Compressor servicing and certification
- Dynamometer servicing and electrical certification
Preventive maintenance
Preventive maintenance activities include the replacement of components or parts that are nearing the end of their functional life. Using our extensive library of test data accumulated over five decades we can identify and recommend replacement parts before they actually fail.
Typical Maintenance Projects
Typical maintenance projects undertaken for aero-engine test facilities include
- Repainting of metal enclosures, using specialised-composition paints
- Re-laying and screening of Test Cell floors, so reducing the danger from foreign object damage (FOD)
- Erection of additional acoustic buildings
- Fire system maintenance and certification
- Compressor system maintenance and certification
- Electrical certification to the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) regulations
