Acoustic Louvres
IAC’s Noishield® louvres and Slimshield® Acoustic Louvres reduce noise pollution from plant cooling towers, boiler rooms, and air handling systems in all types of buildings, including power stations, and chemical treatment plants.
Acoustic louvre solutions from IAC will help to combat environmental noise problems that affect mixed, commercial and residential areas. Our acoustic louvre panels and acoustic grilles reduce noise from a wide variety of applications that include:
Fresh air intakes for ventilation systems
- Mechanical equipment screens
- Noise attenuation solutions for roof top plant rooms
- Acoustic barriers
- Process air intakes
- Cooling tower inlet attenuators and screens
IAC is Europe’s leading manufacturer of rugged, high-performance acoustic louvres. All our products come with comprehensive acoustic performance data, offering a genuine solution to noise reduction challenges. We design and manufacture acoustic louvers to order at our EU headquarters in Winchester, UK. We use the latest laser cutting technology during the manufacturing process, have in-house paint, and finish shops. We ship UK-wide and export throughout Europe.

Acoustic louvre panels
Acoustic louvre panels from IAC have an energy-saving, aerodynamic design and have very low-pressure drop characteristics. The robust all-metal construction gives long life expectancy of the acoustic louvres that are trouble-free. When required, IAC will supply all necessary supporting steelwork and can also offer a full installation service.
High performance acoustic louvres
IAC acoustic louvres are high performance and, with our turnkey capabilities, are favoured by architects, contractors, and building designers the world over. IAC’s acoustic louvres reduce noise for building intake/exhaust openings and for mechanical services plants. We have completed thousands of installations worldwide.
IAC acoustic louvres can be either curved (Noishield®) or linear (Slimshield®) blade styles that can match perfectly the overall scale and aesthetics of a new building.

Features and benefits of IAC Noishield® and Slimshield® louvres
IAC is Europe’s leading manufacturer of rugged, high-performance acoustic louvres. All IAC’s acoustic louvres are laboratory tested and rated. All our products come with comprehensive acoustic performance data, offering a genuine solution to noise reduction challenges. The main features and benefits of IAC acoustic louvres are:
1. Rugged all-steel galvanized construction. Stainless steel, aluminium and other materials available.
2. Inert, vermin-proof, weather-rated, non-combustible acoustic fill.
3. Aerofoil shaped splitter blade (type R and LP) for maximum noise reduction with minimum pressure drop.
4. Perforated splitter underside for maximum sound absorption.
5. Weather stop inhibits rain/snow entry.
6. Available in a variety of depths, in both single and double banked versions.
7. Available in a variety of durable, attractive finishes, e.g. vinyl coated steel, polyester powder paint, mill finish aluminium, Syntha Pulvin, galvanized and stainless steel.
8. Modular sizes enable assembly of rectilinear louvre walls of almost any size.
9. Louvre blade orientation blocks horizontal line of site, enhancing both aesthetics and acoustic performance.
10. Detachable galvanised bird screen fitted as standard on rear of louvre. Insect screens also available.
