Two Audiology Rooms for new Hackney Child Development Centre

A new Child Development Centre for the Hackney Primary Care Trust in East London will benefit from two IAC Audiology Rooms. The rooms will house audiology services for children and young people up to the age of 18.

The new Centre is being built in a private finance initiative and the three-storey building will house the Audiology Rooms on the ground floor with PCT facilities on the second and third floors.

The Audiology Rooms will be constructed using IAC’s patented Moduline construction system comprising 100 mm acoustically insulated panels, and acoustic doors and windows plus all electrics, all on a floating floor with anti-vibration mounts. The 2 rooms will flank a central Observation Room for the use of clinicians.

Steve Penwill of main contractors, Balfour Beatty, is the Project Manager. “IAC have been very good on this project. I like fact that they are very proactive. They are constantly pestering – in a positive fashion – being keen to finish the job.”

The unit will open in February 2008.

For further information on this project contact Tony Argyrou, IAC’s Project Manager for Audiometric products on 01962 873036 tonya@iacl.co.uk
