IAC Acoustic Enclosure for oil well in Hampshire, UK
IAC has designed, manufactured and installed a Turnkey Generator House at the Singleton Oilfield in West Sussex to protect the local community from noise nuisance.
Situated in a clearing in woodland, the generating station powers the pumping operations at the oilfield which currently extracts a respectable 800 approx. barrels of crude oil per day from seven production wells. The field is operated by Irish exploration company Providence Resources. The oilfield has had a successful last 12 months and production is set to grow by some 40 percent in the year ahead.
In a ‘gas to wire’ project the burn-off gas is being used to power the generator which supplies the site with electricity. Excess electricity is being sold back to the national grid.

In this turnkey Acoustic Enclosure project IAC also handled all civils, including the concrete foundations, and installed a maintenance access door for personnel. For further protection of site workers a sound insulated generator control room was installed.
