BOET STOPSON
NOW PART OF IAC
Brian Quarendon is
Group President and CEO of IAC: “IAC has been a strong player in
the market for many years and we already supply most of the principle
OEMs, packagers, contractors and end users in the sector in the UK. The
Boet Stopson additions to our portfolio will mean that we can now deliver
the full range of solutions.”

THE MARKET
“The Power market
world-wide continues the recent trend and remains very slow, certainly
in small to medium turbine applications, anyway,’ says Andrew Dodd,
IAC’s Sales & Business Development Manager. ‘But large
power generation applications of 100MW+ are showing signs of pick up,
mainly in Pacific Rim countries and a few projects are now also underway
in Europe and USA.
“As a result
of the recent war in Iraq, the industry as a whole has seen the demand
for emergency power generation surge. On the oil and gas applications
side, this is still relatively lively with the drive to build more FPSOs
seemingly undiminished. Looking offshore, the major refit and refurbishment
programme underway on many facilities for older installations is good
news for many in the sector, too. The addition of our new ranges means
that we’re able to offer solutions to all these areas and we’re
committed to continue to innovate, keep prices fair in all our markets,
both here and internationally.”
