IAC improves weather forecasts
Building Services engineers from noise control leader IAC, have been busy ‘up north’ providing noise solutions to Met Office weather forecasting facilities.
Out in the wilds of the north of England, in a mystery location, one of the Met Office’s radar weather domes has also been receiving the IAC noise control treatment. Target Building Designs of Blackwater, Surrey, project managers, specified a number of IAC-designed acoustic louvres and doors as a noise containment and ventilation solution for the dome’s plant and rotating machinery. It is envisaged that a second dome will be requiring similar treatment next year.
