IAC sponsors Lee Jay in Tri-Nations cricket squad
IAC is sponsoring Winchester employee, Lee Jay, as he plays in an international tournament as part of the England & Wales Learning Disability Cricket Squad.
Lee, 20, works on the Q-Ducts production line. He has been a keen cricketer since the age of 14, has been playing in his squad for 4 years and now has been selected to play in the Tri-Nations Tournament. Sponsorship from IAC will help meet his travelling costs as he plays at the venues around the South of England between 6-16 June.
Geoff Crowhurst, Acoustics Division Director, and Gary Dawson, Business Manager, Building Services, were approached by Lee to help in his bid to represent his country. Gary said: "We are delighted to be supporting Lee in this – representing his country at just 20 years of age, is a great achievement. We have many talents at IAC but I don’t think we’ve had anyone on a national sporting team before. We shall be cheering him from the boundaries, in spirit at least, and wish him very good luck."
