7 Feb 2006 MOBILE ENGINE TESTING FOR THE C130 UNVEILED AEROSPACE TESTING EXPO 2006, HAMBURG
IAC Aviation, supplier of test solutions to military and civil aircraft operators world-wide, and the approved design authority to the UK’s Ministry of Defence, has designed and developed the new test facility over the past 12 months. Developed initially for use by the Belgium Defence Force at their base near Brussels, this is one of the most comprehensive engine testing systems that IAC Aviation has developed to-date. It incorporates IAC’s own, purpose-designed Aquarius Data Acquisition System (ADAS), considered to be among the most sophisticated available in Europe today. Follows Jozef Calloens the Material Manager C130 Propulsion in the Belgian Defence, who is involved with this new Mobile Engine Test stand project: "We are highly satisfied with the new T56 engine test stand, all delivered on time and within budget within the usual public sector constraints that we face on such projects. I was impressed with the IAC Aviation team – they did their maximum to help us throughout the contract implementation and communications with us were consistently very good. On a personal level, I also found them good people to deal with." Claire Fawlk, Sales Manager, said: “It’s been a good year for us and it’s great to be able to bring another new offering to Hamburg this year. The C130 is used by over 60 countries worldwide for a range of transport requirements for military, NATO and humanitarian missions. As such this makes it one of the most popular military aircraft in the world and so opens a huge potential market for us. The Hamburg show is a great platform from which to launch our global marketing push for this fully developed system.” IAC Aviation also builds Test Cells and Hush Houses, and undertakes Test Cell Refurbishment.
