POWERING INTO 2004 WITH ORDERS WORTH £0.8M In just two months, IAC has won domestic and international contracts worth over £0.8M in the reciprocating power generation market. The contracts confirm market demand for breadth of product offering and versatile, proven and cost-effective noise control solutions. Prague Scotland Cambridge Heathrow vicinity London Gordon David, Business
Development Manager for IAC’s expanded Industrial Division, said:
“We’ve now developed partnership agreements with some key
power generator companies because we believe the boom is coming both
here and in mainland Europe. With an additional £3.5m-worth of

A ‘MILLION A MILE’ – ACOUSTIC BARRIERS FOR CALIFORNIA RAILROAD IAC has won a $4m contract to supply absorptive acoustic barriers flanking 4 miles of railway line in the city of Anaheim, California. The city’s engineers’ requirement was for an absorptive solution to protect nearby communities from noise pollution. While wood or concrete barriers merely reflect sound from one area to another, IAC’s barriers absorb sound, thereby providing a complete solution. Michael Mancuso is President of IAC America: “This contract award is just another example of the quality and performance of the IAC products and solutions uniquely meeting the needs of the customer. We’re recognised the world over as setting the world standard for absorptive panels. When it comes to these types of applications, we leave the competition standing!” Commenting on the
contract win, Dick Vogels, Vice President of main contractors Peterson
Chase, said: “We look forward to working with IAC on this most
important project. Partnering with IAC will give the city the solution
they need.” |

AVIATION IS ‘STAR’ ATTRACTION AT WORLD’S TOP AEROSPACE
TESTING SHOW
The award-winning Mobile Test Facility (MTF) from IAC Aviation, leader in aero-engine testing, is to be a star attraction at Aerospace Testing Expo 2004 in Hamburg, Germany. The MTF is making its world debut at the show, and will be exhibited alongside the only other ‘live’ exhibit - a Harrier jet. Visitors will see the MTF in the flesh and be able to enter the operator’s cabin and meet IAC’s engine test facility designers. Ian Stone, Event Director said, “It’s great to be the first to offer a ‘live’ demonstration of the MTF and, given that it’s such a complementary exhibit, it’s bound to make quite an impact!“ The MTF allows engine testing on location in a war theatre, saving time and manpower. It is completely self sufficient with on-board power generation and can operate anywhere, anytime. The MTF was developed for the Ministry of Defence for the new RTM322 helicopter engine that is entering into service across all British armed forces. We are now developing MTF variants to support a wide range of engine types, and to full load performance. Gordon Edwards is IAC Aviation’s General Manager. “The MTF is a first and the signs are that it’s going to make a sizeable impact in the testing environment. Feedback from Show visitors will also be a good indicator. We’ll have our order book ready!” Visit IAC Aviation at Stand number Hall 1 Upper: C20 or call Gordon Edwards on 01962 873000 gordone@iacl.co.uk . Or visit www.iacaviation.com |

EQUIPS FREE VOICE OF THE ARAB WORLD
IAC is to supply a second turnkey television studio to leading Arab broadcaster Aljazeera, in Doha, Qatar, now in its 8th year of operations and expanding. The £285K contract was secured as a result of total client satisfaction thus far with the first studio we supplied in 2000. Our contract is with Tek Signals, broadcast equipment supplier based in Abu Dhabi. Tek Signals are one of a number of Gulf companies working for Thomsom, one of France’s leading technology companies. The studio comprises
standard components from IAC’s Moduline range, providing the desired
level of sound isolation, reverberation control and structural isolation.
Acoustic doors and windows are also integrated into the design. In order
to meet the deadline of early May, IAC’s licensee in Saudi Arabia,
ATAI, will undertake the manufacture of some components. |

IAC AVIATION AND RACAL INSTRUMENTS GO FOR INDIA MARKET IAC Aviation exhibited alongside another world market leader, Racal Instruments, at DEFEXPO 2004 in New Delhi, India in January to offer aircraft operators the ‘Best of Both Worlds’ in aero-engine testing. IAC Aviation saw an opportunity to reach the Indian aviation market, both civil and military, by working with Racal who already has a presence in the Subcontinent. Racal’s data processing and acquisition systems are a natural complement to IAC Aviation’s engine testing facilities. Dave Greggor is IAC Aviation 's Sales and Development
Manager: "We've been supplying the Subcontinent for a few years
now, mainly in the marine gas turbine market. Working with Racal in
this way is part of our programme for expansion into the Middle East
this year. Response at the Show was good with a number of healthy orders
in the pipeline.” |
