Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead Primary Care Trust St Mark’s hospital, Maidenhead, Berkshire HRH The Earl of Wessex at the official opening - 2 Audiology Test Rooms – 1 paediatric, 1 a - IAC’s Moduline construction - Ground floor, room-within-a-room - Within traditional-build shell - Full noise-attenuated air conditioning - Replaced 20-year-old Test Room   View Photos	Platt Bridge Community Health Centre Wigan, Lancashire - Children’s Hearing Services department - Part of cutting edge £13m Platt Bridge Community First complex - Suite of Paediatric Audiometric Test Rooms - Moduline construction   View Photos	Lanarkshire Primary Care NHS Trust Prince’s Gate Hospital, Hamilton, Scotland - Custom-designed Moduline suite of 4 rooms - 2 paediatric Audiometric Test Rooms - 2 adult Audiometric Test Rooms - Curved building structure - no lifts or option to use a crane - Stand-alone air conditioning system for each room     I am delighted with the facility we now have. IAC handled the project well from beginning to end with great communications with the department at all times. Overall it was a challenging job given the crescent shape of the department and the fact that several supporting pillars in the space could not be moved. Despite these constraints, IAC did a great job and on time and within budget. It is badly needed as we have growing numbers of patients: elderly people referred by GPs and ENT clinics for hearing aid related services, and … with the Universal Neonatal Hearing Screening directives, we need a facility able to accommodate more families and their babies. All of us in the team are particularly looking forward to having a smart and comfortable working environment. It will make a huge difference on a day-to-day basis. Dr Alyson Bumby, Consultant Audiological Physician, heads the Audiology team of eight. .. the hospital has been undergoing a full rebuild as part of a PFI redevelopment. This new Audiology suite is being constructed in the newish ACAD building and I know the clinical team is looking forward to this move from older facilities to new.
