Welcome to Anita Thompkins, Product Manager, Acoustic Windows
 Bronx, NY (December 12) --IAC America welcomes Anita Thompkins as Product Manager for our fast-growing product line, Acoustic Windows.
Anita comes to IAC from the construction industry where she implemented market strategy, sales training, and strategy for the Fire Protection Specialty Unit. She has a wide range of managerial and engineering skills. A civil engineering graduate from the United States Air Force Academy, Anita is also a former Captain in the United States Air Force where she worked as an environmental engineer. She has over 10 years’ experience in business development, strategic planning, and financial oversight and budgeting.
Anita’s main focus for 2009 will be to establish the IAC brand in the windows market and gain market share. Part of her remit will be to improve our interior Noise-Lock windows, re-introduce exterior VisionWall windows, and develop new window lines. She is also heading the IAC Group’s Green Initiative and incorporating recyclable and environmental-friendly materials into the manufacturing of these products to increase their appeal for architects and specifiers involved in sustainable building design. These designs will then be shared across the Group. She has already encouraged IAC America to join the US Green Building Council and is now aligning these products to be part of the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.
