Bronx, NY (July 15)--The July issue of top magazine ‘Sound & Vibration’ carried a moving tribute to Martin Hirschorn (b.1921 d. 2010) eminent founder of IAC who died in New York on June 1st aged 89.
The son of impoverished Jewish parents in 1930s Berlin, Hirschorn left Germany for England where he worked to pay his own way through technical education. From here he relocated here to pursue his ‘American Dream’ and went on to start IAC from an office in his aunt’s small apartment. Today IAC is a global leader in noise control, with a turnover of over $120million.
