IAC Nordic excels at the New Danish Radio Concert Hall
Bronx, NY (April 20)--IAC Nordic, the Scandinavian arm of global noise control giant, IAC, has excelled in the provision of acoustic control studios and acoustic surfaces at the prestigious New Danish Radio Concert Hall in Copenhagen, in Denmark, Europe.
A Gala Concert was held to mark the formal opening of the building by their monarch, Queen Margrethe II – and the occasion attracted a fanfare of publicity. IAC’s acoustic wall panels featured as a backdrop to many of the photographs and film footage of the Queen that appeared in the nation’s media following the event. Designed by French Architect Jean Novéll, the impressive new-build Concert Hall houses world-class recording and performance spaces, all enhanced by IAC acoustic technology.
IAC Nordic successfully delivered and installed all acoustic surfaces in Studios 2, 3 and 4. In addition they installed all 4 control rooms including that for the massive main Concert Hall – the so-called ‘Studio 1’. During the Gala Concert a number of leading Danish musicians gave concerts in all 4 studios which were broadcast live.
“It was a marvellous occasion,” said Lars Birch Nielsen, Managing Director. “We have been working on the project for 3 years, and it was very satisfying to see and hear the excellent fruits of our labour. Having the Queen admire the acoustic work we have undertaken was a real accolade for IAC.”
