Industrial Acoustics Co., Inc. (IAC) hosted an “Open House” Event
There’s a science to our success and we invite you to see how it all works. The educational event was attended by nearly 50 people from 16 Acoustic Consulting Firms in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The group experienced the manufacturing process first hand as raw materials were transformed into IAC Noise Control Products.
The group witnessed ASTM E477, ASTM E90, and ASTM E336 testing in IAC’s NVLAP accredited aero-acoustic laboratory. The testing facility features (3) impedance tubes, (2) reverberation chambers, a 150 Hz cut-off hemi-anechoic chamber and a modular studio / music practice suite. The laboratory featured full size and scale model product demonstrations including Noise-Lock acoustic doors®, ACFI silencers, modular elbow silencers, 50 Hz Metadyne® LF wedges, new Continuline barriers, Continuline corner louvers and new LP series louvers.
We were able to demonstrate the TL performance comparison for traditional building materials (7-1/2 inch thick gypsum wall) and pre-engineered modular construction (4” thick IAC Noise-Lock hard panel). The space-saving, lighter weight pre-engineered panel out performed the traditional wall STC 56 to STC 51, remarkable!
Lastly, the group took a “virtual tour” of one of the largest 50 Hz anechoic chambers and state-of-the-art turnkey test facility designed, delivered and installed by the IAC Group.
“I would like to thank all of you that attended the event,” says Dan LaForgia, Application Engineer HVAC at IAC. Our facilities are always available for instructional tours and product demonstrations to schools, consultants and customers alike. Please contact me any time at dlaforgia@industrialacoustics.com
Thanks again to all in attendance for your continued confidence in IAC, our products and services.
