IAC Modular Studios offer KMA Music a perfect solution

Bronx, NY (December 17)--World-leading modular studio manufacturer IAC America has installed a custom acoustic studio for world-renowned KMA Music in New York. This is the second recent contract with KMA Music, having also supplied Noiselock acoustic doors to the company.

KMA is located in the Brill Building with amazing views of Times Square - widely held to be the ‘Center of the Universe’. KMA Music aims to offer a ‘brilliant recording experience for every genre’.

For this new studio, the level of sound isolation was going to be a key factor in its success, while space was very limited. The challenge was to optimize the recording area space while maintaining the highest level of noise isolation between rooms. It was a perfect candidate for IAC’s AccuTone2 Broadcast Series Rooms and Noise-Lock components.

IAC provided lightweight modular Broadcast Series rooms with NIC 70 isolation while using two IAC 4 inch AccuTone2 panels.

Fran Manzella of studio designers, FM Design - after working with Michael Kissel at KMA Music Studios - had the following to say about this unique studio, “The Writers Studio, as we call it, is Michael’s brainchild. He envisioned a cooperative arrangement with young writer/producers to enable them to realize their creative projects within a world-class stimulating environment.”
