IAC Complete 80 Hz Hemi-Anechoic Test Chamber for Nissan

IAC America recently completed installation and certification of an 80 Hz Hemi-Anechoic Test Chamber for the Nissan Technical Center North America, Inc. in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

The project marks Nissan’s second ISO 3745 certified Hemi-Anechoic Chamber supplied by IAC America since 1990. The chamber was constructed entirely of IAC field proven components including Moduline® acoustic panels, Noise-Lock® doors, Metadyne™
anechoic wedges, and Q-Duct® silencers. The massive vehicle access door is an IAC Noise-Lock® Double-Leaf Tandem design rated STC 70 and is fully equipped with the new IAC patented Metadyne™ wedge hinge basket assembly.

IAC exceeded the customer’s expectations in certifying the chamber to ISO 3745 standards from 80 Hz to 20,000 Hz. According to Victor Clemente, IAC Test Engineer, this new patented Metadyne™ wedge design is the best ever and is a result of continued product development and testing in the IAC America Aero-Acoustic Laboratory Facility. Another example of how laboratory development leads to exceptional results in the field. The IAC team’s performance and craftsmanship went above and beyond design specifications, creating another satisfied customer, while making the world a quieter place.

Congratulations to Craig Czapnik and the Product Test Team, and our technical representative Mr. Larry Anderson of Environetics Inc. on a job well done.
