IAC Noise-Lock components are top of the charts at KMA Music
Bronx, NY (November 6)--A Noise-Lock Sound Control Door from leading manufacturer IAC America has been installed at KMA Music Studios in New York. KMA is based in the world famous Brill Building on Broadway, home to many music publishers.
Installed because of its guaranteed in-field noise reduction, the challenge for the door design was the need for full-glass vision panels and double-leaf configurations.
“Our Engineering and Research teams developed this full glass assembly with excellent noise reduction, particularly at the low end which is so important in studios today.” said Craig D’Anna, Business Manager for the Architectural Group at IAC America. “More than half of the door is glass with no compromise to the acoustic isolation of the assembly.” IAC is the only company with STC 55 full-glass assembly, laboratory certified and field proven in installations worldwide.
Noise-Lock Doors are fully factory assembled and include leaf, frame, seals, hinges, glass, glazing, locks and closers. The assembly is pre-hung and factory tested before shipment.
The door assemblies are easily installed during the finish phase of construction using the IAC patented split frame design. Hinges are cam-lift and the bottom seal is passive and Teflon coated for ease of operation. The Noise-Lock Architectural line is available with UL10C fire rating in single, double and multi-leaf configurations.
IAC Noise-Lock® windows are also fully factory-assembled and include glass, glazing and stops, and factory tested. Windows are available in sloped configurations with high in-field noise reduction.
