Palm Beach school gets child-friendly Audiometric Examination Suite

Bronx, NY (August 25) - - IAC America recently completed installation of a Series 140 AC double-wall Audiometric Examination Room, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School in Palm Beach, Florida.

The single-wall Acoustic Room was sized to maximize the allowable space allocated at the school and will be used to test the school’s hearing-impaired and special needs children.

Included was a full vision glass in the door leaf as well as an oversized viewing window between the child and the Audiologist. The sound booth was fitted with an enhanced jack panel with connectors to support the latest audiometric equipment. Each booth was fitted to accommodate data ports and fire/strobe light systems. Also furnished were roof-top silencers that were integrated with the building’s HVAC to provide a comfortable environment for conducting hearing and screening evaluations, with each room having its own thermostat. The booth is depressed inside a concrete slab so that the raised floor is aligned with the building walkway, thus eliminating the need for a handicap ramp.

Congratulations to IAC America’s People Environments Team and to IAC technical sales representative, Rick Osborne of Acousti-Cal for a job well done!
