Successful 2008 AHR Expo for IAC America

Bronx, NY (February 1) -- Thanks to all of our representatives and customers for their participation in the 2008 AHR Expo here in New York from January 22-24 and helping to make it such a success.

The International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition is the largest event of its kind in the world with the biggest array of HVAC & R equipment, systems and components and services assembled in one place. The 2008 AHR Expo is endorsed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and its LEED Green Building Certification and Rating System.

The day before the Show more than 20 of IAC’s Technical Representatives toured both our newly renovated manufacturing facility and our NVLAP Accredited Aero-Acoustic laboratory in New York. We demonstrated the acoustic performance of our NEW Ultra Low/Ultra Green Quiet-Duct Silencer, the first of its kind with certified DIL performance in the 31.5 Hz octave band (‘0’ band). The Ultra-Green line is manufactured in response to the fast-growing trend for environmentally-friendly building products. Both forward and reverse flow examples illustrated the field proven benefits of IAC Quiet-Duct Silencers.

IAC America also attended the TC2 committee meeting during the Show to discuss the changes and updates for the new 2009 edition of the ASHRAE Fundamentals Handbook, Sound and Vibration Section. Editor for this section is our own Jon Weinstein, Director of R&D.

The exhibit was busy, too, with the IAC Silencer Systems Group securing more than 100 special opportunities for our sales force. The Tuesday night’s Hospitality Suite included visits from many of our representatives, their customers and consultants. The Silencer Systems team demonstrated our Silent Partners application software and navigated round our newly-designed website, with our unique online SNAP specifying tool and the new on-line ordering facility.

IAC is now looking ahead to AHR Expo 2009. See you on January 26-28 in Chicago, Illinois.
